A magical realm full of characters that populate dreams and legends. A place rife with mysterious messages and oracles. Above all, a place that you visit, unknowingly, every day and night of your life.
Every masterful work of art, every far-reaching idea, every passion that goes beyond our limited life span, drinks from that world.
Archetype: from Arkhè (origin, beginning) and Typos (form, pattern). Our myriad experiences, thoughts, and feelings follow specific patterns universal to every human being. We are not as different as we thought.
C.G. Jung was the first to posit the existence of archetypes and present his conclusions to Western, “scientific” psychology.
His understanding of the transpersonal realm and the collective unconscious ushered in an era of studies of a dimension of our psyche that was relegated to mysticism and folklore: our collective unconscious, the land of myths and fables, legends and deities.
Beyond Personality
To access the transpersonal, we need to travel beyond. Beyond our personality, beyond our striving for self-improvement, beyond our opinions, beyond our likes and dislikes. But when we go beyond, we don’t ignore the portal we are passing through: we acknowledge it and include it.
Our personality, individuality, and unique story are the threshold to the transpersonal. Our individuality can become a portal into the beyond and a gateway to returning from the journey. When we integrate the “here and now” with the “beyond,” we gain access to a fuller understanding of life.
There’s a whisper that prompts us to explore beyond our individuality, beyond the ordinary. We hear this whisper in moments of ecstasy or agony, after great failure or successes. It’s a wise, ancient voice, one that tells us that “there is more to life than this.” It’s the voice of the collective unconscious, whispering to us in an arcane tongue.
An Embodied Journey
In an increasingly dualistic culture, where it sometimes sounds like we can solve everything by thinking about it, the call to embodied explorations is not a luxury; it is a necessity.
We can’t rationalize the transpersonal; we need to leap into it. We need shamanic, ritual containers where we can embody archetypes. We need to let those archetypes move and speak to us, let them guide us into interactions and explorations.
This is why we invite you to Arkhé: an embodied portal to the transpersonal.

Why Should I Care?
Archetypes influence our psyche, whether we are aware of it or not. Archetypal stories and dramas move our actions, behaviors, and emotions.
Archetypes are as real and consequential as our thoughts, feelings, desires, and impulses. We swim in a psycho-spiritual ocean of archetypal energies.
Because of archetypes, we see or don’t see, understand or don’t understand, do or don’t do.
In other words, archetypes shape our destiny.
Is this retreat for me?
Arkhé is targeted at those who have heard the call of the transpersonal and want to travel through it in an embodied way.
As a minimum requirement, you have completed ISTA Level 1. Similar trainings that offer a solid, embodied understanding of boundaries, emotional processing, and a holistic understanding of oneself and others will be considered as a possible valid requirement.

An immersive experience
This edition of ARKHÈ will be held in Spain, in the Alpujarra region of Andalusia. This part of Spain has been deeply influenced throughout history by the coming and going of powerful civilizations. The Greeks, Phoenicians, Romans, Visigoths, and Arabs all left their cultural, religious, and spiritual mark on this land.
Mythologically, Andalusia was the seat of the Pillars of Hercules, near modern Gibraltar. In Roman and Greek antiquity, these were considered a gateway to the unknown vastness that lay westward, into the Atlantic Ocean and the mysterious land of Atlantis.
Our venue is located on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada, at a mild altitude. It is blessed with fruit trees, pure water, nature views, and a beautiful group room. Accommodation is simple and comfortable, and there are two natural swimming pools.
ARKHÈ is an immersive experience; accommodation, food, and everything you need will be provided on-site. Upon registration, you will receive a welcome letter with suggestions on what to bring.

If for some reason you become unable to attend, a €300 admin fee will be withheld and are non-refundable in any case. Once the 30 days before the event have passed, the total deposit of your ticket is non-refundable. If you cancel with less than 15 days before the start date of event, NO REFUNDS will be issued.
All bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the participant and not included in the tuition rate. These fees are also non-refundable.

About the facilitator
Raffaello Manacorda
I grew up in Rome, a beautiful, intense, chaotic city, surrounded by computers, science fiction, scooters, and electronic music. I had a loving family, yet my soul was restless. As a child, I played a nightly game with a magic word that stopped my thoughts, bringing moments of inner silence before sleep.
As a teenager, I discovered the immense, frightening, and delightful power of the Feminine. Bliss mixed with broken hearts, insecurities, and social awkwardness. I became involved in activism, felt a desire to change the world starting from my own life, and lived in communities where I learned new ways of relating, loving, and exploring sexuality. An inspiring novel introduced me to Tantra, and I began practicing in a spontaneous, unorganized way, channeling my sexual energy.
After a decade, a crisis pushed me toward change. I followed my intuition to Asia, where I met the teachers I had been unconsciously seeking. I found a Tantra school and dedicated myself fully to the study and practice of Tantra Yoga. After seven years, I created The Network of Love, a workshop on sexual polarity, jealousy, openness, and communication.
In 2016, after a deep spiritual crisis, I left traditional Tantra. Something vital was no longer aligned with my deepest values. After months of inner search, I met a woman who introduced me to ISTA, the International School of Temple Arts, which became my tribe: a horizontal community based on sovereignty, respect, responsibility, and transparency. I deepened my journey with sexual shamanism, became a facilitator and then lead facilitator, and helped create the ISTA Practitioner Training.
Around this time, people began asking for sessions and coaching, so I developed a program to support others in their spiritual, sexual, and emotional challenges. In 2019, I returned to academic studies and began a Ph.D. at Ubiquity University.
Today I teach, coach, give sessions, and study. It is a blessed, rich, and fulfilling life. Everything you find here comes from my direct experience, a lifelong quest with its failures and successes.
